🧡 BTHO Week: Raising Awareness, Saving Lives 🧡
September 17–20
Next week, the JAE Foundation is leading BTHO (Beat the Heck Outta) Week, an effort to raise awareness and prevent suicide in our schools and communities.
One of our own, Garrett Glasheen, is stepping up in an extraordinary way. He’ll be running 804 ladders—one for every year each of our schools has been open—as a powerful symbol of dedication.
Garrett shared:
“Ultimately, my driving force is that every year I have been in this district, we have lost at least one student to suicide. I will not stop doing anything and everything I can until that number is zero… if teachers and staff show up and students recognize how much they mean to us, we may be able to achieve that goal someday soon.”
